Recruiting has come a long way since I was mailing VHS tapes to any college coach who'd take my phone call back in 2001.
After my playing career at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, I jumped straight into coaching, and was in the college game by the time I was 26. Recruiting quickly became one of my favorite parts of the job. I loved finding talent for my team, and I loved being part of the moment a player realized their dream of playing college soccer was actually within reach.
When I stepped away from college coaching in 2020, I started paying attention to the recruiting services families were turning to for help. What I noticed was that most of them did the same thing: build a profile, add the athlete to a database, and spam it out to coaches’ inboxes. What was missing was the part that actually matters — someone in your corner, walking you through what it really takes to get recruited and giving you honest, personal guidance along the way.
That's why I created Soccer Recruiting USA. Not a database, not a profile in a pile — real, personal help for players and their families chasing the dream of playing college soccer. I've been on both sides of this process: the nervous player mailing out tapes and hoping someone watched, and the college coach deciding who to bring in. I'd be honored to help your family navigate it.
